A new year, a new life

The diet has started. I actually did not do it as a resolution though and didn't even think about that at the time.
I started it on Monday and have lost 5 lbs already. Basically I wanted to do it for my health and to hopefully help build my Back up.
I am counting Calories more than anything and it is WONDERFUL how many good things there are that you can actually eat these days. I try to eat fruits and veggies with every meal.
My blog is going to turn into my weight loss journal because I dont think anyone actually reads it:) So it will be my place to document my progress.
I am eating healthy but also using the DVDs "Walk away the pounds". I had done them in the past and loved them. I do the 3 mile challenge one so far and have done it everyday so far. I have a 4 mile one to start working up to. I cant wait until the weather is nice enough to stroll with Callie outside.
I really plan to stick to this and try as hard as I can. I already feel better and this way Callie will have more options of food to try. I am actually eating veggies, including Broccoli!!! Big step for me:)
So far so good. I am also praying very hard each day for God to give me the strength I need to accomplish my goal. I do not have a "set" # I want to be. I just want to finally feel good about myself and be healthier.
I am trying to cook fresh as much as possible, but I do have a large variety of things other than all fresh too. These few foods make it easier....( I am not allowing myself to have a lot of the processed foods like this Pizza bc of my BP problems, but hey one every couple of weeks wont hurt)
Note to self: I swear I can never get this site to space correctly. It always messes up!!!
