So Amanda and I decided to try to better our lives toward the healthy side and do it together. After I talked with her about what I was doing we decided to be each others buddy and try to motivate one another. So far so good. I am getting her to try my walking dvds and she told me about a book that I ordered and am waiting on to come in.
Maybe with us doing it together it will be easier. The only problem is the distance between us! We decided we could make it work though if we put our minds to it. So we touch base over the phone 2-3 times a week to see how much weight the other has lost and exchange meal ideas.

The toughest year so far
I can not get it through my head that today is one year already. Between the mixes of emotions of having a newborn during the time with Daddy in the hospital and then losing him has been so overwhelming. I am glad that I had my family to go through this with and grow stronger together. Callie of course was such a blessing added to my life during this time.
I truly thank God for the fact that Daddy did not suffer like he could have if the fight drug on like so many Cancer fights do.
I miss you so much Daddy and love you. I think of you each day.

A new year, a new life
The diet has started. I actually did not do it as a resolution though and didn't even think about that at the time.
I started it on Monday and have lost 5 lbs already. Basically I wanted to do it for my health and to hopefully help build my Back up.

I am counting Calories more than anything and it is WONDERFUL how many good things there are that you can actually eat these days. I try to eat fruits and veggies with every meal.
My blog is going to turn into my weight loss journal because I dont think anyone actually reads it:) So it will be my place to document my progress.
I am eating healthy but also using the DVDs "Walk away the pounds". I had done them in the past and loved them. I do the 3 mile challenge one so far and have done it everyday so far. I have a 4 mile one to start working up to. I cant wait until the weather is nice enough to stroll with Callie outside.
I really plan to stick to this and try as hard as I can. I already feel better and this way Callie will have more options of food to try. I am actually eating veggies, including Broccoli!!! Big step for me:)
So far so good. I am also praying very hard each day for God to give me the strength I need to accomplish my goal. I do not have a "set" # I want to be. I just want to finally feel good about myself and be healthier.
I am trying to cook fresh as much as possible, but I do have a large variety of things other than all fresh too. These few foods make it easier....( I am not allowing myself to have a lot of the processed foods like this Pizza bc of my BP problems, but hey one every couple of weeks wont hurt)
Note to self: I swear I can never get this site to space correctly. It always messes up!!!

Happy New Year
So after almost 9 years together hubby and I decided to go out for the new year. We headed to Corky's for dinner and then to several places to shop. Lowes being one of them. We have a weakness for that place for some reason. After a great night we headed home to spend the rest of the night with Mom and Callie and watch the ball fall.
